It seems appropriate that the honour of the inaugural exhibition in the community gallery in the new Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries should go to Stephen Ratomski, long recognised as one of the Dunfermline’s most well known and admired artists. Ratomksi, whose work originates from observing the landscape and natural environment, hosted the well attended exhibition opening at the weekend and introduced a selection of his vivid and expansive works which bear romantic titles such as Orkney Stories, Menemsha Light and Boszkowo Moon.
All the paintings and prints are for sale, with prices ranging from £112 for a small print to £1500 for a large painting with prices mainly at the lower and medium end and only two higher priced large paintings. The exhibition runs until 29 June. Admission is free.
