Just when you thought it was impossible to improve on Tunnock’s teacakes along comes these bad boys. Space teacakes are from Zukr Boutique, who also produce an enticing range of marshmallows including the whisky and orange confection (pictured below). Harvey Nichols ex-pastry chef David and designer/photographer wife, Maggie whip up these ‘edible clouds of joy’ from their premises in the Pentland Hills. Luckily the space teacakes will be coming in to land at Savour, a food and drink event at Summerhall, Edinburgh on the 15th of June. The former Royal Dick Vet School will host some of the city’s best producers including the Edinburgh Larder and The Hanging Bat – a bar, brewery and restaurant (pictured below). The Pudding Hall – probably the best ever name for a room – is where the sweets and deserts can be found as well as cocktails by Roseleaf in Leith, served in their signature vintage teapots.
Tickets are £15 and kids under 12 go free with a paying adult – Savour is open from 1pm until 6pm, 15 June. For more information and a full list of producers follow Savour on facebook .
