If interiors voyeurism is your thing then there's loads of private houses as well as public buildings to nosey around on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September as part of Open House London Weekend.
Fashion designers Antoni & Alison's Georgian home (pictured above and left) in Southwark is open on the Saturday.
Pictured below is the show-stopping staircase from a Victorian house in Battersea. Designed by Alex Haw of atmosstudio.com, he says in The Independent, 'It's like a massive puff of smoke coming out of a genie's lantern.' The Upside Down House (pictured at end) in Portobello is designed by Pitman Tozer Architects.
Amongst the public buildings this year is the last chance to see the Commonwealth Institute in Kensington; English Heritage rate it as second only in importance to the Royal Festival Hall for 1960s architecture.
Architect, John Pawson will be turning it into the new Design Museum, due to open in 2013.
Enjoy the architecture and the glimpse into other peoples' lives while you can; on Monday it's back to just peering in windows as you pass.
