How gorgeous is the bright and breezy work of illustrator Heather Gatley? She achieves this wonderfully airy yet dynamic effect with a mix of handmade and digital processes, using pencil, ink, collage and paint. Among her impressive client list – which includes Louis Vuitton, The Times, Conde Nast, the BBC and Virgin – are Penguin Books who commissioned the beautiful book jackets (above and below) for a series of Paul Theroux travel titles. Gatley, who is English, is currently based in Berlin where she shares a studio with her illustrator brother Owen Gatley. His work is great too.
