Bowhouse Food Weekend, St Monans is this Saturday and Sunday, 23 and 24 September.
Free to attend, the two-day event will showcase the produce that the harvest season brings in the East Neuk. Hosted in a beautifully restored barn, the market will also host regular tastings, talks and demonstrations from chefs and producers. Children’s activities, as well as information on local walks, and a chance to see a selection of the farm’s animals are also part of the weekend, organised by Toby Anstruther, founder of Food from Fife.
The Fife Beekeepers Association will be there alongside a range of street food stalls, including Langoustine The Box.
Clement Boucherit, owner of Langoustine The Box, which now has a permanent home at Bowhouse, said “The first Bowhouse Food Weekend was incredible – we were so busy and the feedback was so positive. Clearly people are looking for new foods to try and they love the opportunity to speak to the producers.
The event takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Parking and entry is free. For further information visit Bowhouse’s Facebook page.
