Love the clever combination of these rough hewn, beautiful pieces of wood on top of spindly, retro legs – a look which manages to be rustic and urban at the same time.  The tables were made by Ian Davidson and his partner Jen Marshall for their small craft business, Country Collective, which they launched in their workshop near Oakley in Fife, late spring 2017.  The timber live edge designs also include a range of chopping, cheese and serving boards which are sold in pop up spaces such as Woodlea Stables near Crossgates.  The couple also source retro pieces of furniture which they sell such as the vintage mid-century teak A H McIntosh desk, price £255, featured in the last picture.

Ian says: ‘We live at Inzievar House just outside Oakley. We are lucky enough to have a separate work shop close by and just a few hundred yards from the house is Scottish Woods sawmill where we purchase all our timber…they are a not for profit organisation that puts money back into maintaining public woodlands for everybody to enjoy.  We are in the process of setting up a small shop in Dunfermline and are likely to be on Bruce Street within the next few weeks…people are welcome to visit the workshop anytime though.’
