This Saturday sees the start of the 3 Harbours Festival in East Lothian which is located in and around the harbours of Prestonpans, Cockenzie and Port Seton. The strapline for the festival is 'art in unusual places' and it describes itself as the largest and most diverse arts festival in East Lothian. It includes visual art, music, murals, literature, dance, photography and traditional crafts and runs from the 28 May to 5 June 2011. Cuthill Park is one of the main venues and is the site for The Coastal Food Fair which features seafood, international food, arts and crafts, acitivities for the kids and a car boot sale. The Food Fair is on Sunday 29 May from 12 till 6pm and tickets cost £2 (under 12s free). Cuthill Park, Prestonpans is also the site for Mural Fest, six mural artists painting in situ and The Big Lunch, a giant outdoor picnic. The festival started in 2006 and this year over 250 visual artists will be exhibiting work in a variety of venues temporarily turned into galleries including the huge industrial space of Cockenzie Power Station where the biggest names in the programme traditionally host their exhibitions.
